Review: Brompton Puncture Pouch & Multi-tool - 16inch wheel version

While surfing looking for new things to get for The Brompton BumbleBee SE.

As any half decent cycle rider would always have a puncture repair kit with them at all times I thought I’d give new to me Brompton Puncture Pouch & Multi tool repair kit a try.

As always coming from Brompton it was very stylist and pretty well made item.

very understated Mutli tool which had all the needed tools for a puncture to be repaired out in the wild, to get you back home for a nice hot coco / ice cold beer (depending on time of year)

I was abit surprised to find an inner tube for a Brompton but no patches. It’s big enough to put a few more little things in like patches, extra glue even a CO2 canister.

The stamp of approval from Brompton as always looks so cool.

Actually fits pretty snug in the frame and with the rubber material & single strap it would be hard pushed to see it dislodged on a normal ride. Even over cobbles I would be surprised if it came loose.

I dont think i have ever seen one out in the wild myself but me personally after actually seeing it in person and fitted on my Special EditionI cant say that I’m a fan. I like the clean lines and look of a Brompton and this is just an odd thing to me. And tbh for the price I’d expected a lot more.

In the end I did return it for a proper Brompton Tool kit thats inserted in the frame tube. I’m just used to finding my toolkit there out of the way like a secret compartment

till the next ride, bee safe.....
