Tomorrow morning we shall be joining a few members of my London Brompton Club riding from Richmond to Oxford. This ride I did just over 1 yr ago almost to the day which was my first BIG ride.
I remember the realisation of carrying my huge O bag was a biggest mistake as in any wind it acted like a front spoiler in a F1 race car which made the cycling even more difficult.
I also remember taking my camera but leaving the battery still charging at home that day too -_-
Also my clothing has completely changed from those days as I basically had no cycling specific clothing which probably didn't help.
Bumble B is all cleaned up and oiled up, battery pack for my main light is charging also my Hope is packed as a back up. The Garmin will be going on charge shortly
The weather looks good so should be a good ride.

Tough? We shall see
With my ageing Panasonic TZ5 just about on its last legs and numerous times of getting wet and dropped on rides I needed to get something a little tougher.
I was looking for a good tough compact camera and was reading up on a few when OrangeBrompton mentioned the Olympus TG-2 Tough Camera. What perked my interest was the f/2.0 lens which is always good to have esp for night time shots.
The TG-2 comes in 2 colours (with 2 different coloured lens rings) Black & Red. I choose the Black.
Been using it for a couple of weeks now and I have to say I'm pretty impressed by it. It starts up very fast and its ready to shoot in a few seconds. Only thing is that the GPS does take awhile to find itself but that's understandable at times.
The functions seem natural to me now and its quick and easy to change the modes.:P
Sharpness of the f/2.0 lens is great and the night shots come out pretty good compared to my old now dead TZ5. I haven't tried taking any shots under water or even dripping it in water. To be honest I didnt get it for that function, I just wanted to peace of mind that when I'm on a ride and it rains I don't have to worry about it getting water logged & dying on me. Also this doesn't come with a separate recharger which at first put me off but then I realised this is a good thing as all you need to bring with you for extended touring is the cable to plug into a USB port or the wall socket USB which is alot smaller and lighter than a separate charger unit. I normally take with me a USB power pack to charge my other USB gadgets.

The Offical LBC Cycling Jersey
Finally after months of hard work with the LBC Admin we finally have the OFFICIAL London Brompton Club cycling jersey.
At the moment its just the LBC Admin that has the jersey as a test with Owayo.
I have to say I'm VERY impressed with it as its the same manufacturers of the Brompton World Championship 2013 cycling jersey I got recently so I knew the quality would be nothing short of excellent.
A HUGE big thank you to EVERYONE involved in bring this to reality & making the LBC bigger and better every year.
Talking about cycling jerseys I also have my eye on a few other designs that I'm in the process of getting more in line with the legend colour scheme in the not to distant future.
Trust me the fans of the LEGEND are going to LOVE IT.
